Overview
Dr. Yvette has achieved numerous accomplishments throughout her career. To date, she has earned a Ph.D. in Business with an emphasis on marketing and quantitative analysis; published in top-tier journals; demonstrated strategic leadership in business research and practice; exhibited a strong commitment to and a proven record of teaching and practical excellence; worked in multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environments with students, faculty, and staff; and demonstrated an ability to create and maintain relationships with key stakeholders among business, industry, and community partners
Research Interest
Dr. Yvette's research has been theoretically informed by persuasion and influence literature. Having accepted invitations to present her findings at regional, national and international forums, her research provides valuable insight to business leaders and their respective organizations.
Teaching Philosophy
Throughout her educational pursuits, teachers and mentors inspired (and required) Dr. Yvette to pursue excellence. She chose the profession for a number of reasons, one of which is that she has a strong desire to make a difference and leave an impression on the students entrusted to her, which enrich her own experiences. As a result, Dr. Yvette’s teaching philosophy has three primary components: (1) interpersonal style, (2) applied learning and skill development, and (3) continuous improvement and dedication.
